HipLink Hosted is a web-enabled, enterprise communication and alert notification solution that is offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS). Similar to our industry-leading, on-premise software, HipLink Hosted ensures that all notifications reach any number of individuals, groups or communities, quickly and efficiently.
This communication and notification solution supports key areas for Desktop Paging and Mass Notification with provisions for secure application paging as well. As HipLink’s systems are accessed through the Internet via a desktop web browser or handheld device, incident managers can quickly launch emergency and non-emergency alerts and notifications to citizens, employees, students, customers and partners, anytime, anywhere.
Cost-Efficient Option
As a hosted service, HipLink Hosted helps organizations conserve resources such as additional hardware. Software licenses and phone line purchases are not required. The HipLink Software Technical Team maintains the data center and telecommunications infrastructures, so nothing is required of your IT staff. Additionally, with pay-as-you-go licensing, maintenance and upgrade fees are not required.
Communication and Alert Notification is a Natural Service Fit
Not all applications may make sense as a service, but wireless voice and text communications via a hosted service delivery is a natural fit for many organizations. As a hosted service, HipLink will remain active, should an outage occur with your own internal network. This is an important consideration for public safety professionals, responsible for mass emergency notification delivery.
As customer requirements vary widely, HipLink supports traditional on-premise installations, the hosted service, or the Hybrid, which combines the premise and hosted solutions. Customers may prefer to maintain their own HipLink server at their site, while taking advantage of HipLink Hosted to handle their mass voice callout needs. In the hybrid scenario, a traditional premise solution is installed onsite but the voice calls are sent to the HipLink Hosted data center for delivery.
Full Redundancy and Security
The HipLink Hosted service is installed in geographically dispersed SAS 70 Tier 3 data centers to ensure full redundancy and security. Redundant fault tolerant storage arrays provide fail over functions to maintain uptime. Virtualized servers offer the first level of redundancy and backup, while data center operations in Texas and Illinois ensure peak performance and replication.
