Semotus Gains Further Entry Into Emergency Response Industry

SAN JOSE, California, January 7, 2002 - Semotus Solutions, the Wireless Architects™ (AMEX: DLK), a leading provider of mobile enterprise applications, today announced that HipLinkXS, a market leading wireless messaging software solution, is to be deployed at Litchfield County’s Fire and Ambulance Dispatching Center (LCFADC) for its Emergency Response (E-911) Team.

The Dispatch Center was originally using a dated paging solution that frequently locked up when messaging was most crucially needed; when the company that developed the software went out of business, technical support became non-existent. LCFADC needed a highly robust and scalable messaging solution that would be well supported, and configurable to the Center’s future needs as it added more dispatchers and field workers to its Response Team.

LCFADC chose HipLinkXS as the replacement messaging software solution for its integration capabilities (the software will work in conjunction with LCFADC’s computer-aided dispatch application), its high scalability, and custom rich features as LCFADC plans to implement two-way messaging between the Response Team and Dispatchers in the near future. Semotus Penetrates Newspaper Circulation Vertical Market

St. Petersburg Times has adopted a unique customer relationship program that allows a subscriber to call an 800 number should they not receive their paper in a timely manner, or has received a paper that is damaged. The customer’s request is generated in the paper’s Fleet Delivery application, which then sends the message out to the delivery person’s PDA via HipLinkXS.  Semotus Solutions’ Wireless Messaging Application to be Deployed at Arizona’s Largest Real Estate Company

HipLinkXS will be installed on all of Realty Executive’s receptionists’ PCs, with a total of 50 users sending messages to 1300 receivers, providing the company with a true enterprise-wide automated messaging system. Additionally, Realty Executives has purchased customized enhancements to HipLinkXS that will allow advanced exporting and grouping/Departmental capabilities.
