Fire System Detects an Event

The Siemens Fire Safety System detects an alarm, supervisory alert, trouble condition, security event, or system reset.

HipLink Receives the Alert

The HipLink Fire Safety Integration module queries the fire panel through a direct RS-232 connection using the Siemens NIM-1W communications board and identifies the event type.

HipLink Routes the Alert

HipLink sends the event to the appropriate individual or group based on the organization’s predefined rules and assigned receiver groups.

Monitoring for Follow-up

HipLink continues monitoring the connection and can notify designated groups if a bad connection or system fault occurs.
